Departing daily (except Christmas day) it takes you on a journey through the rugged and spectacular Taieri River Gorge, across wrought iron viaducts and through tunnels carved by hand more than 100 years ago.

With full commentary, photographic stops and on board refreshments the train offers year round, all-weather entertainment.

Shoosh Cycles

Shoosh Cycles was established in 2007 by Dunedin's best cycle mechanic Jonathan Sarginson - "Sarge".

Sarge is the cycle mechanic for Otago Cycle Hire and he ensures our bikes are fluffed and ready to go so they run like a Swiss Clock and there are no hassles.

A straight shooter Sarge will give you an open and honest appraisal of what your bike needs as far as repairs go. No BS.

If it needs a whole heap spending he will tell you and if only needs minor work he will also tell you so you know what you are up for before the job starts.

If it can't be fixed, no point wasting time and money Sarge will let you know.

Also no job is too big or too small.

Shoosh Cycles is currently located at 247 Cumberland Street, Dunedin but is about to shift to an all new, purpose renovated, drive through Bike shop in Late January/Early February 2010. Watch this space!

Final piece of advice when you front up ask for Sarge and when you leave say "Thanks Noel" (this will leave him wondering how on earth you knew what he calls everyone) - Oh and his favourite number is 8.
