Otago Central Rail Trail Duathlon - 28th Feb 2009

Otago Central Rail Trail Duathlon Each year since February 2000, on the last weekend of February, the annual 150km Otago Central Rail Trail Duathlon is held. The event is organised and managed by the Combined Lions Clubs of Central Otago who hold a licence from DOC. The OCRT Duathlon is a non-profit event with all officials working in a voluntary capacity. Any surplus from each years event is committed through the Combined Central Otago Lions Clubs to projects associated with the Otago Central Rail Trail, to maintain, develop and promote this unique recreational facility.

The Otago Central Rail Trail Trust and Department of Conservation in Otago also support the event.

Rail Trail Classic 100 Adventure Ride - 28th Sep 2008

Event Information
The 2008 Rail Trail Classic event commences 8am on Sunday 28th September at Clyde Railhead, with Sign-on from 630am and Rider briefing at 745am. All competitors must be present at race briefing.

The Ride
Covers the full length of the Central Otago Rail Trail, Clyde to Middlemarch, 152.17km or nearly 100 miles. We recommend teams transition at Omakau, Ranfurly or Tiroiti where water & toilets will be available.
